Regional Education Service Centers

Regional Education Service Centers were established across Texas to help improve student and school district performance. Each region’s ESC is available to assist districts in bringing TIA to the district, help guide local designation system development, and provide technical assistance.

Additional Technical Assistance Providers

In addition to Education Service Centers, districts can seek additional support from Technical Assistance Providers, or third-party consulting businesses that offer assistance in developing a local designation system, data capture and analysis, and other technical aspects.

Each year, providers may apply to become an approved TIA Technical Assistance Provider. The application window is held in the spring and formalized by the end of summer. TEA reviews all applications and provides official approval to TAPs that provide proof of their ability to provide high-quality support in their specified areas of expertise. All approved TAPs must be able to provide general TIA local designation system planning and implementation support.
