Regional Education Service Centers
TIA Support at No Cost

All regional education service centers are trained by TEA to provide broad TIA support to their districts at no cost. Each region’s ESC is available to assist districts in bringing TIA to the district, help guide local designation system development, and provide technical assistance.

Technical Assistance Providers

Districts developing and implementing a local designation system may choose to work with a technical assistance provider. TAPs submit information each year to be included on a list that districts can use when considering technical assistance options. TEA adds providers to the list if their information is complete and demonstrates their ability to support districts with TIA.

TEA does not verify TAP credentials and inclusion on the TIA TAP list does not imply TEA endorsement nor guarantee local designation system acceptance, approval, or validation. All information found within the list is provided directly by the provider. Districts are encouraged to confirm potential provider’s information and use the Possible Questions for Technical Assistance Providers when selecting a provider.

How to Join the TIA TAP List

Each year, technical assistance providers can apply to be included on the TIA TAP List. Providers must reapply each year to remain on the list, and inclusion is not guaranteed. TEA reviews applications for completeness and the provider’s ability to deliver high-quality technical assistance to districts.

The application includes two parts. Part I: TIA System and Implementation is required for all TAPs. TAPs may complete Part II: Strategic Compensation/Enhanced TIA but it cannot be submitted without completing Part I.

TEA is now accepting 2026-27 TAP applications. Interested providers should download the application and upload it to Qualtrics by June 26, 2026, 11:59 p.m.
